Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 22, 2026
At DocFlow AI(“we”, “us”, or “our”), your privacy is the foundation of everything we build. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our website and tools (the “Service”).
1. Files are processed in your browser
The core promise of DocFlow AI is simple: your files never leave your device. All document processing — merging, splitting, compressing, converting, rotating, and organizing — happens entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript (WebAssembly). Your PDFs, images, and documents are not uploaded to, stored on, or transmitted through our servers.
2. Information we do not collect
Because everything runs locally, we do not have access to:
- The contents of any file you open or process.
- The names, size, or metadata of your files.
- The results of any operation you perform.
- Personal information you enter into any tool.
We have no way to recover or reconstruct your documents because they are never sent to us in the first place.
3. Information we do collect automatically
Like most websites, we collect limited, non-identifying technical data necessary to operate and improve the Service:
- Usage analytics: aggregated, anonymized metrics such as page views, tool launches, and general performance, used solely to understand how the Service is used and to improve it.
- Technical data:browser type, operating system, screen size, and approximate region — never linked to your identity.
- Cookies and local storage: used to remember your theme preference (light/dark) and essential settings. You can clear these at any time from your browser.
4. Cookies
We use a minimal set of cookies and browser storage strictly for functionality (for example, remembering your preferred theme). We do not use cookies for cross-site advertising or tracking. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; some parts of the Service may behave differently if cookies are disabled.
5. Third-party services
We may rely on trusted third parties for infrastructure (such as hosting and a content delivery network) and for privacy-focused, anonymized analytics. These providers process only the limited technical data described above and are bound by their own privacy obligations. They never receive your files.
6. Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding any personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete it. Because we do not collect personal data tied to your identity, these rights generally do not apply to file content — but we are happy to answer any request. Reach out using the contact details below.
8. Data security
Our local-first approach is itself the strongest safeguard: data that is never transmitted cannot be intercepted. For the limited analytics and infrastructure data we do handle, we use industry-standard measures to protect it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
